i'm still alive....just barely though! i love the winters up here. i don't know what i'd do if i didn't have at least 3 feet of snow to play in. it's easy to tough out a winter here....the key is lots of layers and a very good sense of humor. the only time it's hard is when you get snowed for 3 or more days. i get a little bit antsy to go somewhere. but, other than that, it's great....then again, i've lived here all my life and i can't say i've ever known any different. that might skew my opinion a bit too. thatnicegirl

WOW all I know is my perspective changed dramatically when we played frisbee on Christmas day when we moved down to TN. I had lived in the northeast all my life and didn't realize how bad the winter was up there until we left.

it's really been quite nice up here lately. it was about 45 degrees here today...nice but very strange. we usually have at least 2 feet of snow by now. so far, we have none. i hope we at least have some by christmas. it just isn't right to have no snow on christmas...that would be hard for me to deal with... anyway, hope you had a good thanksgiving.

Our Thanksgiving was great! Thanks and I hope you had a great one also! I know what you mean about the snow. It is really nice if you don't have to go any where, can just stay home and have fun with it.

Yeah I'm sure you can relate to this. Remember when you were a little kid and there was so much snow you could build a fort with it and hang out in it? We would make tunnels and everything. Then go in for grilled cheese and tomato soup. Ahhhhhh those were the days.

Hey has there ever been enough snow down south to build a snow fort? Does anyone else even know what we are talking about?

I know what you're talking about. I'm from southern VA and there used to be enough snow to do that in the 80's, but it doesn't snow like that there anymore. The other day, my brother told me they got 4-inches of snow there and the whole town shut down pretty much.

I was just thinking about guyguy. What's the deal? He starts a thread about redheads and we never hear from him again. I wonder what's up?

who knows...at least he stopped with the red heads comment...some people start out harmless and then...ugh! i saw on the news footage of all of the snow/ice that's being dumped down south...we don't even have a foot of snow up here. very sad...i hope we at least get enough to cover up the dead leaves....

Remember the hip-hop group called "Guy" ? They sang "Teddy Jam" and of course the ever popular "Teddy Jam 2." Am I the only one who feasted on this delicious bit of hip-hop history?
