If you really want to date yourself.... ...what is it called when you make pictures from "slashes and codes"? ...what Apple IIc game ended when you got to the Williamette valley? ...what size were those floppy floppy-disks? ...what was the name for single-color video setups on computers? 1) macro drawings 2) apple games are stupid 3) five and a quarter inches, held about 360K 4) monochrome bonus question: Who was the first band to release a demo CD inside a 5ΒΌ" inch floppy

Feable Weiner
I know 'cause I gave them a bunch of my 5 1/4" floppies to put 'em in.
And I still have my Texas Instruments 99A, my Macintosh classic (4 mg hard drive, sweet little monochrome machine) and know the whereabouts of a vintage Commodore 64.
I've programmed in Basic and can still find my way around DOS.

I've programmed in Basic and can still find my way around DOS. The last time I programmed in basic was.....1985. And I was using DOS back when that's the only thing that you could use. I hated Windows for the first....well, hell. I still hate windows. Long live Mac OS X.

Actually, so can I. So much for attempts at humor.
I got my engineering training using a slide rule and remember when the closest thing to a calculator was the amazing adding machine- lever action arm and all, no electricity required.
Guess that makes me too old to hang around here with you kids even if I am a gentle old soul.

I remember the Oregon Trail. All of my friends always died crossing the rivers. I never made it to the end. There was another cool game that I remember playing around 1990-91 that was a trucking game. It was like Trucking USA or something like that. You had a bunch of deliveries to make and you'd get robbed or get a speeding ticket or some other crap would happen to you. That was fun. We have a Nintendo, Super Nintendo and an Atari at my crib.

Can't be any older than m. Well he could....but then he'd be posting from Shady Rest Nursing home. See, I never even got into computers until they became for everyone. I remember people saying this A LOT "I'm not a computer person". If you said that now it would be like saying "I'm not a phone person." But the abacus statement KILLED me!! I had to build one of those in 5th grade.
I actually hope there is an older poster. That way I won't totally feel like an old fart on here.

2. Oregon Trail. May you burn in hell for your heretical statements. That game sucked, but then again it WAS an Apple game.
