Ha, yeah 16 was my first concert without an adult. I was too scared to go to London on my own with a couple of friends, so i left it til i became comfortable with it!!
I think my first concert, i was 12? But i was with my parents..... it doesn't count!

I was probably 10 when I went to my first gig - my mum took me to see Meatloaf at Wembley Arena LOL. Then a year later to see Gary Glitter at London Arena.
First gig on with friends at 17... first gig on my own with nobody i know at 19.

Same. Meatloaf are playing just down the road from me this summer at one of the summer nights things - but at £40 + booking fee I can't afford that . Ever been to a meatloaf gig Ian?

So they have scott, good observation!lol It would've been good if they could do it, but it's also good they're not for us people who have no money lol Can't wait until they come back to the UK. Ooh Scott, does it make it slightly easier now you know they are not going to play, to plan which bands with brand new amps you are watching?!lol I know you were worried they were all going to be on at the same time?! LOL Yeah I'm happy in some respects... but not in others. It's good that I won't have a chance of 3 bands with brand new amps I HAVE to see clashing... 2 of my fav bands with brand new amps including one I have to see being their street team leader - and one ive wanted to see for ages. But the linups been changed anyway - so theres now less chance of Nightwish and Lacuna Coil clashing.... which is good. Pity FW aren't playing too - but we'll live... and they'll be back.

Ever been to a meatloaf gig Ian? i haven't, no. see, thing is, as much as i think Meat himself is awesome, it's Jim Steinman's songwriting i'm obsessed with, and looking at setlists for more recent shows it just seems there's a little too much of the non-Steinman stuff in there. plus, the band on Bat Out Of Hell was awesome... and now it's all young guys. if he played Hyde Park again or whatever, i'd go if i could blag me a freebie, but i don't think i'd travel or pay £40.
