Oh yeah, it's March alright! I can't wait for the show. The guys head back out this Thursday. Then they've got SXSW next week. (HooraY) And then they'll be back in OKC! I'm so glad it's an early show. Hopefully more people will come out. And that provides us with longer "hangin out" time.
Since it's 3:23am, I feel the need to be nerdy:
Countdown: 14 days, 14 hours, and 35 minutes.
Color me ecstatic!

Hangin out time... oh ... yah... we should get sushi.. MMM, or maybe I just like sushi....
And... I get to see My Hotel Year on the 17th and FW on the 22nd, it's almost like seeing them together again, I'm envious they don't tour this way together.. oh well, guess it's time for another ROAD TRIP

Limbeck can come here, so why can't FW. HUH BOYS?!?!
Where the crap is MHY when we need them? No, no..don't show St. Louis any love, it's ok, really... >:(

For some reason, sushi doesn't strike me as being in the price range of a touring band.. I could be wrong, though.. Hmm.. Sushi or fuel for the van? It's a toss-up for sure!
Either way, I'm psyched.. My Hotel Year.. Feable Weiner.. Johnny Reliable.. Life is good.

Saturday Mandy and I are going to see Limbeck with Hey Mercedes. Limbeck can come here, so why can't FW. HUH BOYS?!?! Where the crap is MHY when we need them? No, no..don't show St. Louis any love, it's ok, really...  For some reason I just couldn't get into Limbeck the 2 times I saw them.. they have great stage presence and are nice guys, but... the music didn't stick... maybe cause I saw them with the Format, and with them I'm in love haha |

Well I'm all about listening to the Limbeck cd when I want to relax, but I wonder what a live show will be like. I'm used to jumping around and hollering, but Limbeck just doesn't strike me as a band I can do that to.
Although I've only heard a handful of Hey Mercedes songs, I'm sure I'll rock out hard with them...just as Mandy will be doing. She loooves them.

Well I'm all about listening to the Limbeck cd when I want to relax, but I wonder what a live show will be like. I'm used to jumping around and hollering, but Limbeck just doesn't strike me as a band I can do that to. Although I've only heard a handful of Hey Mercedes songs, I'm sure I'll rock out hard with them...just as Mandy will be doing. She loooves them. Limbeck live is far more mellow than what it sounds like you are used to. But it doesn't mean they don't put on a great show. I don't know. Everyone views them differently. I like them live. Sometimes moreso than I like the cd. It varies dependent upon my mood. Haha.. As for Hey Mercedes.. Another great band.. Mandy is most definitely smart to love them.  |

So the concert was last night. It rocked. Limbeck was far more energetic than I had expcted. Everyone was very friendly (we had to be, I've never been to the Creepy Crawl when it was so packed). It was a great show though. It was about 105 degrees in there and about 150 people full. When the weiners played there in December, there was maybe 50-60 people there...maybe. Last night, you couldn't even move...at all, without someone getting mad at you. I like small concerts, small bands with brand new amps, and small venues. Big rock shows just aren't my scene.

You are completely right about small rock shows.. I'll take them ANY day over the big ones..
As for Limbeck.. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'm looking forward to seeing them again in April when they play OKC with My Hotel Year.. BC we know I'm all about the MHY rock..

If you don't die before the 23nd it would be nice to meet you. I'm not from LR but I have gone to a few show in the LR area and I really like Vino's. Its one of those places that everyone and I mean everyone hangs out at.
However, if you go to this show don't show up early this is the most boring town I have ever been in.
