most of the probs ive had at gigs have been from people 16-18 years old, or random older people who are drunk and high on various things. the younger kids have either been too weak to cause problems, or are scared of all the big people around them... and it doesnt hurt so much when they crowdsurf.
tho thats why i like going to gigs at southampton guildhall - anybody caught crowdsurfing gets thrown out with no re-admission... no questions asked. i mean mosh pits and all that are cool cos u can either join in or not join in.... but by the end of the bowling for soup show in london in october i had the worst headache ive had for years and the girl in front of me who was at her first gig ever with her sister was in tears cos of so many people crowdsurfing with huge leather boots on and kicking us both in the head.... to which the security guard said "so what?... tough... ur at a gig!". while putting my arms up to try to protect that girl i ended up having my wrist kicked and it broke my newish watch, which went flying over the barrier - and the security guard asked so many questions and stared at me before giving it back.
the thing that annoys me the most at gigs tho - people in front of me wearing huge rucksacks and bouncing around hitting me in the face with them. i mean if he's bringing it with him either dont bounce around if you're squashed near the front... or put it in the cloakroom - thats what its for. i think it was at either bad religion or nightwish who i saw at the same venue as that bowling for soup show - this 16yo guy in front of me continually jumping up and down hitting me in the face with it... and he looked at me as if i was weird when i pushed it away from my face.

Oooh that's really lame of the backpack dude. You should've kicked him or something.
And that's so sweet of you Scott getting your wrist all crap to try protect that girl. You're so sweet!

yeah.... but she was in tears tho and the security guard at the front was basically telling her it was her fault for coming to a gig.

Aww that was so mean, nice Scott protecting her....
People with rucksacks suck, i was squashed when i saw BFS....well i was when BFS came on. When the support bands with brand new amps were on i was at the front, then i got Kay and Robyn to the front when BFS came on.....got called a bitch and got completely squashed

Lovely Scott!!! I was stood in the second row at the bfs show in Southampton... it was GREAT!!! The only bad this was that i got treatened by this guy!!! He told me not to effing push me or he'll effing push me back twice as hard!!! As i said... its an effing mosh pit you DICK!!! At the Southampton show, i remember Matt Slider from the Feds jumped onto the crowd, but security grabbed him and literatly threw him onto stage!!!! I was shocked that they treated the lead singer of the band in that way!!!

People at gigs hate me- I get really claustrophobic and if I get merely injured whoever did it will be severely punished. Only when its on purpose, if theres anyone younger or smaller than me I like to look after them. I usually take my backpack to the cloakroom but if I want a support band to sign something for me I'll keep it on. As I will be doing for DMBT...the security guards in manchester are great, one inparticular. If you're at the front and ask him for water he'll give u a bottle of evian, as many as u want...and u can then later thrown the bottle lids at the band to get their attention...I'm lame
