Five days, five hours left until the show. ahh!! what will you be doing in that time? i'll be going to aerobics class, doing accounting and music theory homework, playing in an intramural basketball game, then showering, and sleeping, and then getting up and going to work to stuff envelopes and do data entry for two hours. then i'll grab some lunch and then chill for a little while. then i'll go to my audio class for 2 1/2 hours where we will be recording Summer Romance by Incubus, and then i have to go to work and call prospective students and tell 'em how great school is, even though I am transferring but i leave that little tidbit out. Hmm let's see what else...then i'll do more homework, pack and go to bed. Then i'll get up on wednesday morning and go to class at 8-2:15. ick. then i'll finish my accounting project that is due friday and run it over to the teacher. then i'll come back to my room and pack and then i'll go take a shower and grab some dinner. I'll call a cab and go to the bus station. then i have a six hour ride home, arriving at approximately 12:45 am on thursday morning. THEN, i'll get up and talk to my parents before they go to work, and then crash again. I'll get up around 12, hit up the job search all over town, then come home and get ready for the Popular Genius concert at third and lindsley. i'll go to that, and then meet up with my boyfriend so we can celebrate our 10 month anniversary . Let's see. then i'll go to sleep, wake up go to my high school to meet up with my former AP english teacher so we can chat. then more job searching, lunch, chilling with friends, dinner, and then going to the play at MBA. Let's see after that I will again chill with my boyfriend and may try and make a 2 am trip to waffle house. go to bed for a little while, get up on saturday morning and chill with friends again, and then grab some lunch. afterwards, i will do the massive amounts of laundry i have to do, and then i'll start getting ready for the feable weiner show, and then i'll grab some dinner, meet up with my friends who are going and head down to rcktwn for a rocking good time. That's how i'll be spending the next 125 hours until the show. And i've just killed about 20 minutes of the time that i had to wait. beautiful. it draws closer and closer. eeek i can't wait!

Well, I just lost my job so there's a 95% chance of me being there. Is there anything I would need to know about this place? I've never been there so any landmarks or things like that would be greatly appreciated. How early should I plan on being there? I don't want go 13 hours and not be able to get in.

um ok. so rcktwn (i haven't been there since july but i know the place well.
If have turned off of broadway and onto sixth avenue south, sixth ave is a two way street thru a couple of stoplights. There will be a BIG parking lot on your left and you will come to a stop sign. When you get to the stop sign, the road is no longer two ways and Rocketown will be on your right. big brick building. the entrance is on the backside from the stop sign (so just walk up shirley until you see the big line). as far as parking, it's tight down there, your best bet is to just park where the guys with the flashlights tell you to park and be ready to cough over $5 to park there (is there something going on at the GEC that night because if there is parking will be hell). sometimes the corner of that big lot on your right is open to rocketown kids, sometimes not. it just depends.
if you see the slaughterhouse (Haunted house)...you've gone too far.
I'm planning on getting down there by 7ish because this show seems to be carrying a lot (myspace post-party depression, cruiserweight release, and FW! of course). I dunno if they want the show to start at 8 or if they will be just opening the doors at 7:30...i really don't know they are weird about stuff like that...
we should totally have a FW tailgate with food n stuff...that would be cool...
anyway back to rcktwn...they will pat you down after you pay and get an armband (or being a girl they will run the metal detector thingy over you) ...they'll probably make you check your purse so be prepared if that's the case (pockets are a good thing...). you should be able to find the main room...it's big enough and it doesn't look like much else will be going on that night so just follow everyone else.
uhmm no smoking. no beer. they have coffee (its expensive...spend your money on merch instead). uhm and that's all can think of...any more questions?

They didn't pat me worn when I went. I almost didn't have to pay, either.
