Well it wasn't quite right, there was no meet and greet, the sound check was past 7 so it all went wrong. Me na Kay had been standing outside for over 6 hours, in the cold, with no food! So me and Kay got to see no show, we went in for the soundcheck after a while, only got to see 3 songs. got some pictures and stuff. Met them afterwards too but some people were being lame. Me and Kay got to wear Atom and Jeff's jacket cause we were freezing, got to take a walk with Jeff and Andrew (he is way awesome!).
Kinda a disappointment, but not as well. Would have been nice to see a show but the venue is tight on people who are allowed in. None of the street teamers got to see the show either....but we met them and thats good enough.
I'll post pictures when i upload them......cause this post was pretty pointless....but yeah.

TEXT yeah the show was a major dissapointment...guess u should be glad u didnt end up paying for a ticket amanda! some of us got coverheated in hell out of our money aswell as our time. we were standing around from 3 o clock in the afternoon till 11 at night and we didnt even get to see the gig. i dont mean to b ungrateful..the 3 song sound check was good but it so wasnt enough to make up for the fact that they could of jus let us in. we were bigger fans than every other person that went into that gig put together and u no we cud have rocked out. i'd bin lookin forward 2 going to that gig for months and it jus feels wrong that feable weiner could only apolijise by saying they were ever so sorry and play us 3 songs. jus wanted to say though that do me bad things and tokoyo dragons were amazing to me and josh! wanna thank them for sympathising with us and lettin us go in at the end to meet the bands with brand new amps and give us free t-shirts etc. ive still got my faith in u guys they didnt have to do wat they did for us and i respect them a whole lot for it. it was feable weiner that messed up and it seemed that the other two bands with brand new amps were the ones that compensated for that. thats about all i wanted to say anyways. hope that anyone going to the other gigs make sure they no the age restrictions before attending so they dont end up immensly dissapointed like some fans. Getting to see them was just amazing, they're all so lovely ! It was just really disappointing not being able to see the show (although the soundcheck was fun)
I still had fun...I just wish it wasn't as cold and smelly and it would've been better if we could have got in but just getting to see the Weiners cheered me up

I'm sorry but you're going to have to explain why it was FW's fault.... as far as i know it was the actual venue, not any of the bands with brand new amps. FW were genuinely happy to see us, all of us, but they had to leave quickly. They were nice to us and did all they could. I really don't know why FW are the blame because they did all they could. If they didn't have to go i'm sure they would've done the same as DMBT and TD. I know you're disappointed about buying a ticket and not being let in, but it was the venues fault for not showing the information properly. You could always think of it as you bought the DMBT tshirt but got a £2 discount.....

Yeh it's not FW's fault at all, they let us in to hear 3 songs, none of the other bands with brand new amps did that.

I'm sorry you didn't get to see them properly. But at least you got to meet the guys you have been fantasizing about for so long!

I don't mean to sound harsh here - but the age limit was announced beforehand and is on all of the ticketing sites. We arranged for all of you to be let in regardless of the age and whether you had a ticket or not. The venue completely ignored what was organised and wouldnt let any of our team members in. I spent £5 of credit calling and texting people trying to sort things out yesterday and the band did go outside to chat to people and take them inside for a 3 song soundcheck - which is the best that the venue would let them do. Both me and Atom tried our best.... we just had no idea that the venue were going to be like this!
The meet and greet / soundcheck was pushed back because a couple of band members decided to have a nap and managed to sleep through things. I've done that before so know how easy it is!
Oh and to people that are helping at any other shows on the tour - an example of what not to do if you're attending a show - as this is what happened yestersay. * If its an 18+ show - be 18 unless you're on the guestlist or have been told you will definitely be allowed in * Do not jump in front of cars and almost get hit by a bus to hand flyers out * Do not cause a nuisance to everybody around you * Do not glue posters to the venue * Do not scream and shout and threaten the band you have gone there to see * Do not run around screaming at people saying you are going to sue the band * Do not try to kick the back door of the venue down to try to get access to the show * Do not call one of the street team leaders screaming about things and pretending to be one of the other team members and ask to be removed from the street team while still pretending to be the other team member * Do not call that other team member after the show pretending to be Avril Lavigne.
I won't mention names.... but I'm definitely not impressed with the one person who did all of that and her friend that joined in. Things didn't go as planned - but it is not my fault, the bands with brand new amps fault or the other team members faults. We did everything we could - but the venue just wern't going to change anything. It's still no excuse for how you acted.
We will be finding a way to compensate our team members who weren't allowed into the venue - well... the ones that didnt cause problems for everybody within screaming distance. I will be contacting you over the weekend.
I would also like to thank the entire band and especially Atom for doing what they could yesterday and for chatting to the fans for as long as possible. Sorry about some of the people there... it will not happen again.
Also due to yesterday I have decided that unless something has already been arranged - we will not be making exceptions to the rules for age limits.. as I do not want to have last night repeated. If you are under the age limit feel free to go to the venue and say hi to the band and ask the rep if you can see the soundcheck - but we will not make any exceptions for the age limit.

well said Scott! i went up and waited in the cold for hours just to meet FW last year lol - luckily Chris BFS guestlisted me but even then I only managed to see two FW songs cause we had to go get the bus (then train) home!
as for glueing (sp?) posters the venue, i haven't done that but i've stuck dropkick murphys stickers on pillars around one before lol.
And yeh, I think that unfortunately you will have to stick with the rules the venue has as they are probably there for a reason (though all venues sell alcohol and some bands with brand new amps have younger fans generally). The only other way around it is to pretend to be with the band I think, like family or something and stay backstage/watch from the side, but that might be trickier still, or clearing it with all the bands with brand new amps rather than just the support act.
