Yeah, so I never read the Baby Sitters Club. I feel out of the loop. This I can handle though. I'd rather be out of the loop for this than something important. Haha.

Claudia and Kristy were my favorites as well. I though Stacey was a spoiled brat. Mary-Ann was whiney. Dawn was too indecisive. Mallory was whiny. Jessi was cool. I'm forgetting someone, I know.
Yeah, Logan never seemed to cool to me, either. And how come those kids were 13 FOREVER??? They never aged!! I think you got the main 7. And I think I liked Claudia and Kristy too. Kristy's kid step-sister Karen was annoying to me. I read the BSC series when I was in 6th & 7th grade. Then I gave up. I'm not sure what happened after, but it looked like the author was just recycling the stories or something. And "Good" is an awesome song...I never did see the BSC movie.

Yeah, Karen was quite annoying. Remember, she had her own series called Baby-Sitter's Little Sister or something.
I was so into the Baby Sitter's Club books. One Christmas my mom got me ten books and stuffed them in my stocking (it was a huge stocking).

But...the movie was terrible!
I had the book version of the movie not even written by Ann M. Martin. And you could so tell!

So there was a novelization of a movie based on a book series? That is so retarded.

Yep. And like I said, it sucked. Very poorly written. I hated it.
Something else that was retarded. In the movie, they got an office instead of Claudia's room for headquarters, and they didn't have the office afterwards in the books.
Very stupid.
And in the movie, Alan liked the wrong babysitter. And they didn't portray anyone the way I saw them. It was just all wrong.

Basically YGF, you have just described how to fail when adapting anything. If the new adaptation is not true to the original it will fail.
Plain and simple.

Yep. There are hardly any good adaptations of anything. Anytime I hear a movie is coming out based on a book I've read, I refuse to see it. Especially Tuck Everlasting. I mean...WHAT???
