NO BURNING! Send some MP3's to get someone interested in a band but don't burn the entire CD. i taped the entire FW cd for emma...but the saving grace is she came to the show with me and bought a shirt and the cd. but yeh mp3s first. i only copy/burn if i'm desparate...speaking of which i am an SP fan since early 2003, just before i saw them with BFS :-) i have their new album downloaded lol, have had it for a while. haven't seen them since they played with bfs tho i spent more on SP at that gig than i did for BFS lol

NO BURNING! Send some MP3's to get someone interested in a band but don't burn the entire CD. Here comes a circular argument: CDs are often over-priced so people make copies, not enough CDs are sold to reduce the prices, which in turn leads to more people illegally downloadin etc..... iTunes music store is actually not that bad, although when it first got put up there was very little of stuff I like.....s'getting better, even had FW, got Dear Hot Chick for £7.99, £4 cheaper than in Virgin!

People can burn me those cds cause i already like those bands with brand new amps, then when i save up enough money i will buy the albums. I don't like having just copies

I agree...don't download the whole album...unless you go and buy it 2nd hand like I do, and the cd is so scratched you have to download it

But as a whole, it is. Pinkerton was great, but it's horribly overrated (and I never did like "Getchoo," "Falling For You," or "Pink Triangle"). Blue has spots of greatness, but crap like "My Name Is Jonas" and "Surf Wax America" and "Holiday" definitely ruin it as a whole for me. Make Believe is definitely the most agreeable thing they've ever done for me, as I love practically (get out, "Beverly Hills") every track on it. Jesus, how do we get so far off topic?? Anyways... the blue album is one of the few "perfect albums" that exist, in my opinion. I like every song it, I can listen to it all the way through and be in bliss. Pinkerton has a few crappy songs, I agree with the ones you mentioned. Then Green and Maladroit have a few decent songs each... but actually one of my favorite Weezer songs ever is "December" which hides at the very end of Maladroit. Make Believe is a HUGE improvement over the last two, but not quite on the level of Pinkerton and Blue. One of the things that still irks me a little about "the new Weezer" is the bass player, Scott Shriner. He just doesn't seem to fit them. He seems like he should be in an effin' nu metal band or something.

that tour was my first 'proper' gig too! i met chuck before the show and he said 'gimme a hug' when i gave him a peck on the cheek ;D seb i met before too, pierre i met inside...i spent mosta my money on them before they even played lol i always end up liking the support acts more cause i look em up lol i need to play the new cd again. as for Dear Hot Chick being £7.99 on the iTunes store, that's how much i payed for the actual cd... blahdvd.co.uk, free postage too i prefer to have the whole package rather than paying for downloads but i might start paying for the odd song if i really like it or something. and yeh this topic did really go off on one, but ya have to get used to it on messageboards hehe
