Should I embrace.......?

Righty, I noticed the other day, much to my dismay as I am far too old for this!!!, that I was going a bit 'emo'.......here are the facts which seem to be attributing to my growing emo-ness:

1)I've been listening to lots emo music: Atreyu, 36 CF, Finch, FFF, Killswitch Engage, Our Lady Peace, Taking Back Sunday, Story of The Year.......

2) I bought an Atticus Black tank top.......and I want the beautiful brown leather Atticus belt with the dead mockingbird on it.

3)I found myself wearing entirely black the other day......not in a gothy way.....black wide leg Motel trews, black Atticus vest, black hoody, studded black belt, my DCs and black and red nail varnish!!!!!

Oh my!! Someone save me.........failing that buy me some black hair dye!! (it's only very dark brown just now) and some Dickies which will be perfect for showing off my oversized emo pants!!!

(Sorry if this offends anyone but I'm too old to dress like one of the 14 yr olds (apologies to the 14 yr olds I love you dearly!) who stand on Cockburn Street (the 'alternative scene' hang out!! all the cool kids go there!!! *thumbs up!!!*))

i love emo people just look at gerard way and bert mccracken the best two emo lads in the biz. plus id rather be called emo than a goth, i have nothing against goths but it pisses me off when somebody calls me one.

Ace-ness! I used to get the goth crap all the time at school coz I wore black baggy chords and black eyeliner. It gets dull after a while. The funniest thing ever was my friend, Pete, who was a complete ned,aged 14/15 telling me I'd look "hot as a goth". That made me laugh so much!

I basically wear what I feel comfortable in, but the other day I was like "I'm turning into a small emo kiddy" nothing against emo people, lol (what a phrase!) coz Gerard Way is way hot! (Maybe not Bert, don't dig the 'do.) But I thought it was going way too far into the "Look at me I'm emo!!" Hee hee!

I saw Atreyu recently and it was full of emo kiddies!!I was wearing a dark green vest and a grey hoody and felt blindingly colourful!!!

The bad thing about being anything like emo is that you get told you look like a major emo icon. I get told ALL the time i look like Gerard Way, yes hes f*cking hot but i dont want to be told i look like a man all the bliddy time.

I was once told I looked like Amy Lee (The whiny one from Evanescence) I was actually quite offended coz I think she has slightly froggy (amphibian not French) features......but I don't anyway so it's fine
