a night out with my family always proves to be...well, something. okay, so my family and my uncle's family all went to a taping of Wheel of Fortune at the Grand Old Opry on friday. we ended up with tickets because my uncle, strangely enough, is friends with Pat Sajak. and not just ordinary tickets--but front row seats and vip passes we learned when we got there!! sweet, i thought, as we wound our way through the masses waiting for their sad balcony seats. we tried to avoid looking at the peasants, though, that had been standing in line for hours. anywho, they taped two shows that night. i was dazzled by the lights, the beauty of vanna and was made slightly deaf by this old grandpa behind me shouting big money all night. inbetween tapings pat came down and talked to us--and then it happened! now this place was packed and the stage was pretty empty at this point...they wanted our families to go up on stage and have our pics taken behind the wheel!! so there were like thousands of people watching my family do these corny poses. we had to pretend like we were spinning the wheel and to make things worse they were putting us up on the big monitor. the only positive aspect was that i was representin' in my FW shirt. hell yeah!! when i sat down i thought whew that's the end of that, but no it wasn't. we had gotten these goody bags with W of F shirts, hats, etc...my aunt made us all put on the stupid W o' F hats and have our pic taken in front of the stage. are you picturing this?? very disturbing indeed. i guess looking back it was one of those classic family experiences, but let me tell ya i have had enough of those.

But wait. There's more. Kelly didn't mention how her uncle knows Pat. He baptised him. Small world.
BTW, I give you props on the weiner shirt..KNOWING you'd probably end up on front row with cameras close by. Good call kelly. I give you 10 Weiners up. They probably would too.

you know, i don't even like Wheel of Fortune. As far as game shows go...can anything really beat The Price Is Right? My babysitter always plopped me down in front of that. I always wanted to play Plinko...

Plinko is the best game ever! Did anyone ever see the band My Tiger? They had stickers that looked like Plinko chips

I too used to watch the Price Is Right when I was really little with my grandmother. I'd say really fast over and over Bob Barker...Bob Barker....I guess I thought this was fun as a 3 year old.
