And my friends were a couple of hours outside of London when the blasts happened, thank goodness!

What? Where did I say London was insignificant? I was responding to someone else who commented on how London was nothing in comparison to 9/11, and that we shouldn't be upset. Well i never saw that comment on here and still cant.... and nobody said it was insignificant.

Well the message i saw about what Jemma's on about was on Myspace.
Well, i've had a falling out with my boss, cause she basically told me off cause i'm hoping to go to London next Friday, to see my dad. Apparently i'm stupid and that's an excuse for her to talk to me like i have disabilities. This really upset me, cause this happened right in the middle of out fairly busy shop.
What happened happened, nothing could have stopped what happened, but no one should be put off going.

I know, my sister is super scared- like today there was a bomb scare near where we were and she wouldn't let us go anywhere near the area. And she's really scared of flying next week...
To me it doesn't seem likely that anybody would strike London again right now, with its current safety measures

I just can't get over what my boss said to me.
The guys that did this to us want us to be scared, they want us the live in fear..... why are people letting them win? Bombs have hit London before and they will again. Bomb scares are always happening, they happen in my home town for Christ sake!
I'm off to London on Friday, to see my Dad. If he was 20 minutes later, he would have been hit.... 20 MINUTES!! He took the same route as one of them (i forgot what one now but that's irrelevant!!). But apparently i'm stupid for going so soon. Nothing will stop me from seeing family and friends...
I think you'll find it's safer now cause of all the security there anyway!!

Oh right... no wonder i got confused if its not even on here!!
I wouldnt let them win. If I had plans to go to London on the day after the bombings I'd still have gone as long as I could get wherever I was going and wherever was open. Hell if I was going to a gig on the day of the bombings which wasn't cancelled (there were a few), or something else that was time specific like that then I'd have gone up then even though it would have meant walking across half of london to find a taxi, then getting a taxi to the venue, then back to the station again. Call me stupid if you want but the day we all get paranoid about them and stop doing what we want to do is the day they WILL win. It's impossible for them to win as long as we just ignore them and get on with our lives - no matter how much death and destruction they cause. They do in Israel with all the suicide bombers there.

To be perfectly honest I really don't think there will be another bomb for a while, I know it wasn't really that far away since 9/11, but it took who ever was responsible (whether they did both) a while to get this one sorted. Terrorists are not stupid, they belief what they are doing is right, I dont accept this but it's true. They say they are responsible for events that have happened, and I reckon they did do it, but have you noticed that there is never a head line saying 'Leader of Terrorist Group Captured!' do you? They know exactly what they are doing, but we need to stop them before it get out of hand.

It can't be stopped really can it. It's just something we all have to live with. You do realise it probably won't happen again for a while....
We all need to try our best to get over it.

I'm going on monday and I'm not stopping it because of this. It's not out of hand yet. Out of hand would be the whole country being like it is in Iraq and Israel.
It will happen again... but not for a while.

yes i am fine thanks. my uncle and his friend were on the charing cross train after the explosion. if they were getting the bus to the station they could have been killed. my uncle took some photos from the explosion and it looked hirrific, his friend was on the same train and he had blood on his shirt along with a lot of dust. but it was a very scary day for me and everyone. hope all the weiner fans are ok to!
