I'm just glad they dont have footage, it would have been so scary to see it repeated like they did for 9/11, I hated the fact that all the news channels would keep reating it. I was only 11.

40 people died, and even if it was 1 person that died I would be upset. It isn't important how many people died-there's nothing you can do for them, the important part is saving those that haven't.
What on earth are you on about? Nobody hear spoke of how 9/11 didn't matter to the British, if anything all I heard here was thank God it was nowhere near as bad as that trauma. Are we not allowed to show each other that we care just because it wasn't as major as 9/11?

Would it have made you feel better if it was as bad then Jemma? Aren't we allowed to be glad that 4000+ people didn't get killed... that only 1% of that did? For an Al Qaeda style attack that is almost nothing - due to the excellence of the emergency services.

What? Where did I say London was insignificant? I was responding to someone else who commented on how London was nothing in comparison to 9/11, and that we shouldn't be upset.

Yeah, i read someone saying that too Jemma, which kinda pissed me off. Opinions are opinions, but please, that was uncalled for. This may not have been as bad as 9/11, but it was still bad.
Oh, i'm okay... obviously!! But if my dad was a little later, he wouldn't be here today.... he caught the tube right before it was bombed.... i'm thankfull he was early. I was so scared.
I hope you get through to your friend Steff.... we'll all be thinking of them.

I'm ok myself, i know loads of people whose mum, dad, step brother, or other family members were there. One persons someone got the train right before one of the ones with the bombs, and another person related to someone i know didn't get on the bus cause it was full. As far as my family are concerned they seem to be alright, if they weren't my nan would've called and told us.
I am so sorry for everyone who was there, is injured or killed and for the people who have lost someone. It was a terrible thing to happen

i dont live near london so im okay and i dont think i know anyone in london although i think some family that i dont know live there but i really dont know them.
my friends family were there at the same time as bombing on exact tube 2 months b4 so my friend is glad that there okay - its horrible when things like this happen it really puts reality in perspective, how bad some things can be.

well i was in london the night before, as in 8 hours before it all happened, and i was on one of the lines, i mean i know its nowhere near as close as some people but im still finding it quite unbelievable
and i was really worried yesterday cos we couldnt get in touch with one of my friends, finally at about 630pm we managed to get hold of her, and she was fine, just her phone wasnt working, and another friend stopped to get a sandwich, and so he missed his tube - which was the one from kings cross that got bombed, so he was very very lucky.
i hope everyone on here manages to get in touch with everyone they need to and stuff

Are we not allowed to show each other that we care just because it wasn't as major as 9/11? are you angry at me? I never said anything about 9/11 didnt matter to the British, I was just saying the footage they gave scared me so bad I didn't ever want it to happen in Britain. But it's too late know. I think my feiends dad is okay, but i havent heard from my family that lives down there.

lol no I'm not angry at you...just some posts that seem to have disappeared.
I read on the BBC site that in various places in the US security has been heightened just for safety measures. It's so weird to think it could have just as likely happened where any of us live, I'm just thankful that everyone I know is fine.
