I broke my laptop *cries*

Very upset at the moment
managed to knock a glass of lemonade over onto my laptop, which immediately went haywire and now wont turn on

Phoned pcworld up, they are coming to pick it up tomorow though the bloke on the phone said basically it sounds like it wont be repairable

so does anyone know whether i will still be able to somehow get everything off of it? or have i lost everything ?

all my videos and music are on there, and most importantly all my photos, and they arent backed up anywhere (how ironic but i had all the cd's out ready to do it yesterday afternoon ), and i havent got hardly any photos on my website either cos i have just taken them off to rearrange it . And all the photos of me with bands with brand new amps ive met are on there...
hoping that someone will tell me that there is a way of saving all that....

so now i need something to cheer me up

You know you could ask, I think liquid spillage only screws up the electric bit of it, but maybe it'll only cost a little bit more to resalvage the hard drive.

Yeah, if they can save the hard drive, you can get everything back. No hopes up because your computer wont turn on and it did get wet. It probably got burn. I dont know what to tell you, and I am a computer freak so I feel sorry for you! But maybe I'm wrong, lets just hope that I am.

I know someone who fixes computers and he had a customer that spilled soda on it. According to him, your laptop should be salvageable. The cleaning can be a time consuming process since the liquid usually gets all sticky on the inner parts but he says it can be done. So there is hope.

THEY FIXED IT!!
and i didnt lose anything

think it said they replaced the keyboard and looks like it says Mayboard but dunno what that is

I've been meaning to get my laptop sorted out for ages. Apparently I need a new internal hard drive although I think the fan needs replacing too.

I'm sure you wanted to know that.
