Nope, although my friend has an american friend, who is having a huge dinner for the "uncultured English people". I don't even know what it's about! Something about the... Indians... right?

OH MY GOD, its just too weird to read that. Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks for everything that we have. It first started when the Pilgrims came to America from I dont know where, and had a huge feast with the Wampanoag indians. So now, we do it every year, and we kill about 45 million turkeys a year because of it. We celebrate on every fourth Thursday in November in the United States and second Monday in October in Canada. Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving in the United States. Historically one of the busiest retail shopping days of the year. Many consider it the "official" beginning to the Christmas shopping season. Black Friday is the day when retailers traditionally get back "in the black" after operating "in the red" for the previous months, often by cutting prices considerably. In addition, most retailers will open very early. ~Nelly~

Yay I learnt something new!! Haha, I thought it was about the Americans slaughtering the Indians or something... and then it all got twisted and... yeah... thanksgiving.
...
I appreciate that probably sounds really offensive, but it's not meant that way!

I hardly celebrate St. George's day. It's most likely to be a myth.....

Oh I know about the 25th of November if its of any relevance, the busiest shopping day of the year. There's a new "thing" to abstain from buying anything the whole day, although I'm not sure whether its to make a point or just to see if its possible.

I didn't realize that the 25th was the day after Thanksgiving... I'm not so good with dates, so usually, numbers mean nothing to me...
