What do ya'll think? Are they the deservedly biggest and best band in the world, who are single handedly saving the universe from almost inevitable collapse, or are they overhyped, self-inflated, arrogant paddys who turn out bland music?

i second that emotion. and might i add (in light of my never-waning fondness of 80's hair bands with brand new amps) so did jon bon jovi. and i think cuba gooding, jr.

I thought U2 ruled in the early 80's.... but, as time progressed and they tried to keep up, they started suckingit pretty hard. They should just stick to what they know...

well, I have to give them props for trying to evolve...I think the Rolling Stones has just been singing the same twelve songs for the past 40 years, and make 100s of millions off of them

c'mon tucker it's more like 13 or 14 songs...and i have to agree with ronnie about the early u2 stuff. i think War is my fave of theirs. is u2 still making music or has bono completely dedicated himself now to cancelling the debt of humpback whales....or was he the one campaigning for equal rights for peruvian spider monkeys??

It's true U2 was just so good in the early 80's that they kind of just began to go down hill after the Josuha Tree. Really the only place for them to go was down. Note to self: try not to peak too early you will regret it in the long run.........
