I'll be in the doghouse (well, maybe that's not SO bad) with my kid for posting this...or even just being here but I just wanted to publicly say "Thank you, Feable Weiner for being so amazing to my students in Tallahassee last Friday."
You see, they took the time to talk to my guys, give them an interview for the school tv news, let them video the show, and gave them quite a shoutout! FW, you have no idea what it meant to me and especially to them. They are making me a tape of their music spot and I'll pass it along.
And talk about an amazing show! The cool, calm way the boys handled one particularly obnoxious drunk was nothing short of, well, WEINER-IFFIC! From the start, the drunk kept shouting the incorrect initials- FU instead of FW (now my kid will really yell at me!). Josh just pointed out to Atom that they had an idiot who wanted to make some noise. Poor drunk never stood a chance. With 3 little words, Atom launched the Shredfest to end all Shredfests. "Wizard of Words!" and Josh takes aim with his guitar, striding out into the crowd which parted like the Red Sea, and like magic the drunk obeys the laws of gravity and assumes his rightful place on the floor at the feet of the mighty Feable Weiners!
Kids, that rocked!
And things just got better and better. Even this "someones mom/someone's" loves those guys and their music and their fans...just not the drunk obnoxious ones.

Parents and teachers are authority. Sucks.
Joking. There're some cool teachers. Yay, Weiners have got mighty backups.

If that were my mom or dad, I wouldn't be upset in the least. That was an amazing post, and I happen to think it's incredible that parents love them.. I'm way past the age where it matters what my parents think of the music I listen to, but my mom admittedly loves Feable Weiner. She thinks Atom is hot.. Jeff, too.. Oh wait.. I've said too much.. *shifty eyes*

Okay, I'm living on the edge here...my kid is never happy when I do things like this. But, I've met FW...actually know them quite well and simply love them!
That you would think I "rock" is quite a compliment! My thanks to you, tinkerelly.
The last time the boys played Big Daddy's, the sound guy asked me how I knew the words to sing along. I think I gave him apoplexy when I told him "Dear Hot Chick" was the CD playing every morning on my drive to school. I guess I learned by osmosis.
By the way, the interview aired this morning on our school station (high school) and so far I've gotten positive feedback. They played parts of "I say Feable, you say Weiner" and "San Deem Us Ready." The very best part was the guy from MHY standing in for Ben! Funny!
So, thanks again! A major compliment, a Friday, AND a payday! All my favorites right here right now!

I've bought and given away nearly a month's salary's worth...sold a few for 8 bucks as well. I've given away stickers, autographed posters (thank you, FW), and even have a sticker on my car and one on my file box in my classroom. I've even played the CD for a couple of my classes, just not "7th Grade Song."
Yeah, I think I kinda rock too...teehee!

Haha! I love it! This mother should meet my mother. I think they would end up taking over the world. I'm in my twenties, and it's nice to still be able to 'rock out' with my mom when we happen to be in the car together. She loves FW. She loves MHY. I have no complaints. As for teacher/mom.. You are amazing! Thank goodness for people who are as open-minded as you. I can't count the number of parents (much less teachers) who would begin to even listen to music from a band with 'Weiner' in their name. It's parents/educators like you that restore my faith in society. Where were you when I was in school? Haha!

Mr. my kid will kill me, Do you think you could pass along a copy of that tape to me? I'd even pay you, or trade you something in return. Please? That'd be great.

I'm already in hot water for posting in the first place so I'll bring it to a boil and let you know I'll get the boys to make a copy of the tape for you, jakob. Glad to do it...and I'm actually a mom (but I take absolutely no offense at your confusion). I'll email you my email addy and you can send me your snail mail info.

my mom doesn't even care about what i did at shows when i try to tell her, she doesn't even pay attention to the pictures i show her. argh. oh well. at least someone has a mom that pays attention and actually likes the band.

M, that is philosophy. *bows down* I can't count the number of parents (much less teachers) who would begin to even listen to music from a band with 'Weiner' in their name. hahaha, very very true.
