I just found out that my family cat (back in Va), Shadow, had to be put to sleep tonight. My family noticed he didn't seem to be feeling well, and made him comfortable. They went to check on him later and found him lying in a pool of his own blood. Someone shot him with a pellet gun - small hole, no exit wound. They took him to the vet, where he was put to sleep shortly thereafter. I couldn't wait to see him when I got home for Christmas - he was the friendliest cat...ever since he was a kitten, all he wanted to do was sit in someone's lap, nap, and purr. I hope the stupid f!cking asshole that did this enjoys their Christmas.  |

Sean- I am so sorry about your cat. I have three myself (at my parents house), and don't know what I would do if something like that happened to them. It's sad to think there are people/things that would do such a cruel thing. Perhaps we could be optimistic and hope it was an accident. No matter... maybe you could go to the humane society and get your parents a new kitty for christmas? I am sorry.

That's f*cked up! You should go find every neighborhood boy between the ages of 12-15 and kick all of their asses, then shoot them with a pellet at a close range. Assholes. I'm sorry about your cat, I had a dog that got shot once with a shot gun and I know I was pissed and sad and everything else and I just wanted to hurt the guy back.

Aww, I'm sorry to all of you with bad pet stories. My dogs ran away on my birthday a couple years back, so I went to visit relatives in TN and we got a new puppy. It made everything seem better, maybe you could give that a try.

there is no replacing this cat. He was as lazy as i am, as mean as i am, and here's a cute story for the ladies about smokey.
one time i fell asleep and at some point threw my pillow away. I woke up with my head on him and he was dead asleep too. I have a picture of it somewhere. my cat, my pillow..stolen from me by some freak. or he may have been killed by squirrels. they hated him, because he killed so many of them and gave them to me as gifts.

When you go home go around your neighborhood and keep your eyes open. Talk to people (people talk about what they do ya' know?) You'll see, somebody will talk.

 that is so sad!! I'm sorry Sean... I put meanness aside and give ya a hug. My kitty got run over... in front of our house... I woke up to my mom telling me my cat we had for like 12 years was dead... sigh... losing animals sucks.. but I'm with Jeff, SHOOT the Mother F*cker that did it...
