I think he's talented and very lovely looking but it is a shame he started taking drugs and got addicted...such a waste! i watched an interview he did and it was lovely, so honest and stuff...

Isn't "Hate" a little strong?? I know I"m a newbie and therefore lack any crediblity at said moment in time, but if you've never met someone and don't know them how can you hate them?

I mean, I dislike Pete Doherty, I find him thoroughly irritating as a musician, but I do feel sorry for him, he's messed up big time and it's a shame it has been so publicly as well.

I'll explain....

Pete was once in this indie band called the Libertines. Now eventually people started to like them ad within the UK they were getting well noticed. Pete who was the co-front man with Carl Barat (sp?) couldn't handle all this and turned to the stereotypical 'ways' of rockstar-dom. The rest of the Libertines tried to help him but he was mean to them and just deteriorated. So the Libertines had had enough and kicked Pete out of the band. Pete now started up his own band called Babyshambles (who to be fair sound exactly the same as the Libertines). Babyshambles got some success and as the Libertines continued Babyshambles weren't as successful. Pete continued with his drink and drugs excess and repeatedly went to rehab for this. He also randomly went out with Kate Moss (model) for a bit. Anyway he's currently on bail for blackmail and drug abuse charges and other similar offenses.

Summary- wannabe rockstar thinking he's God and everyone should bow down to him.

Reality- he's too big for his boots, and to be honest the Libertines were never that great in the first place.

Pete Doherty talks to Kirsty Walk is a really good interview...he says that he'd be prepared to get in touch with Carl again and stuff like that but he doesn't know about Carl, calling him 'his lordship'

I saw that interview but as I can't stand him I was just sat there thinking wanker. My friends all went to meet him months ago when he was playing in Manchester, but I stayed well clear of him....
