Little hint: When you want the subject to change and someone does change the subject, don't mention the subject change again. People will just go back to talking about what you don't want them to.

I was in awe last night at your show in omaha. I think I am going to cry. I haven't seen that good of show since Kenny Rogers. You guys were amazing!

Well, minus the humble silence part.. I was like.. "Kenny Rogers?! HA!" But hey.. To each his own..
